Helping out the Fam
My cousin has spent 10 years in prison and got out recently.
He needed pics and a website for a portfolio and a job opportunity. ..
So I made him a website in two hours...lol

Wit and Verve
Having enthusiasm and ability to create artistic compositions is not a talent that every writer or artist possess. Michael De Yoanna, founder and owner of Dscriber.com, has networked a collection of associates who embody this concept hence the mantra ; wit and verve.
Dscriber.com is a news based website similar to the Huffington Post or Gawker with emphasis on fair and accurate reporting while using wit and creative animations.
Writers from around the world like Chad Diprince from The Denver Post, or Bob Eckstein editor of The Basement contribute to the site.
While colorful and established artists like Liza Donnelly a cartoonist from The New Yorker bring the sections of the site to life with witty and thought provocation cartoons.
De Yoanna said of the Rocky Mountain Newspaper closing in 2009, “It was a wake up call… journalism was changing very fast.”
De Yoanna, a graduate from both Metro State College and the University of Colorado, has worked on the site while maintaining a part-time position with 5280 and freelancing for several other publications. The site utilizes the latest technology and online readership to drive traffic while aggregating information from other news reports in an open and objective perspective.
De Yoanna spent his time completing his master degree program as the Editor in Chief of the Advocate for UCD. After graduating he spent time working for the Colorado Daily and several other Front Range publications with the intentions of working for the Rocky Mountain News or the AP Press.
He continued to freelance for several publications like The Colorado Independent, Boulder Weekly, Rocky Mountain Chronicle and The Washington Post.
De Yoanna advised a journalism class at Metro State on Wednesday saying, “My part-time job with 5280 allows me to do all the other things I want to do.”
De Yoanna’s passion for representing professional journalism in creative way while adapting to the changing landscape lead to his endeavor with Dscriber.com, a site that is currently having 100,000 visitors a month.
“We model our format after a ‘Harper’s Weekly’ approach as opposed to ‘Huffington Post’,” De Yoanna Said.
De Yoanna went on to explain how aggregating news and re-writing it has taken the online readership by storm, “The owner of Huffington (Post), Nick Denton, recently said ‘aggregate or die’, a concept I don’t necessarily agree with.”
De Yoanna expressed his stern dismay for sites like Examiner.com that base their content solely on what is trending and flood the market of readership with too much content saying, “it is killing journalism, just killing it… our goal is to become a news organization that puts up news that matters.”
He also expressed that working first hand with citizen journalist has only proved to him that there is a vital need for professional journalist to create reliable news.
Leaving the class with one final statement about the ever converging media of news coverage De Yoanna said, “the internet requires us (journalist) to be multi-faceted.”

Wikileaks destroy ties gives ammunition for global wars
Interpol has placed Julian Assange on their most wanted list for Warrants stemming from Sweden.
The Austrailian native and founder of Wikileaks is on the run but with many different countries wanting him for different reasons due to the resent release U.S. diplomatic cables.
The thousands of cables released have sent the world's media into a frenzy and even the site itself has been crashed in the last 24 hours.
Some like the Huffington Post call it "The end to diplomacy as we know it,"
Some are saying that the whole wiki leaks support "Globalist Interests" and world government.
Others are saying it give the U.S. upside.
The Dominoes of corruption have been falling for years for anyone who has been paying attention.
Wikileaks has provided endless information and ammunition for countries not only to continue wars but to begin new wars... Iran, North Korea, Yemen, Pakistan... the list goes on.
and Pakistani people have been clammering for their government to stop the support for the U.S. lead war in Afghanistan.
Now the Rand corporation has previously stated they wanted more wars and specifically Iran. These wikileaks give plenty of ammunition to fuel that fire.
If the corporate interests indeed want to create global governance, I do not see how the wikileaks helps to stop that. In fact it helps the cause by causing more tension worldwide.
The worst thing about the reports really seem to make Isreal appear to be the country trying for peace the most. This information if not accurate could further the distance in peace talks in the Middle East and further destablize the region.

Writer Network a case of Deja vu for Reality
The U.S. Department of Labor reports that 48 percent of people get jobs through referrals or personal contacts. So finding a career by knowing the right person is the single most effective way to excel in any market. Students with a passion for writing often put their dreams on hold as they use their skills in other career fields.
Thewriternetwork.com is a tool utilizing the latest social-networking model that aims to speed up the networking process for a writer. Host and founder of the Déjà vu Poetry Lounge, Gregg “Reality” Delaney, is eager to get students plugged into the highly tool.
This website is the product of years of experience from Reality who has worked tirelessly to bringing a new style of poetry to Denver since 2000.
Reality fell into the poetry scene in 1994 after legal troubles pushed him away from the streets.
“People at the time were very into the afro-centric, eclectic, empowerment poetry,” Real said about the local poetry scene in the 1990s.
“I came in talking about my life, baby momma’s and drama other stuff I had already been writing I just didn’t know it was poetry,” Real added. The bar crowd at the Mocha Longue responded to the style of poetry and grew instantly and in less than six months Real had to move the poetry event to a bigger place.
The poetry scene didn’t immediately take to Real’s merging kind of events, “they kind of looked at us different because we were at bars and night clubs, instead of the coffee shops and hipster joints,” Delaney said. By adding a DJ and an after party, Reality was able to successfully combine both the nightlife and the poetry scene.
2002 until 2007 Reality’s weekly poetry event at the Kasbah known as “The Lounge,” was the largest by attendance in the country and began to draw in poets from all over the nation.
“It really drew the crowds out, Poets coming to Denver were pleasantly shocked at the quality of the venue we were at,” Reality said.
“Many of these places in the East Coast have poetry in their nightly music shows…Real has influenced the scene to bring that flavor to Denver,” Lee Williams said.
Williams was a great success from 1989-92 throughout the east coast and brought helped to bring the “Def Comedy Jam v. Comic View” battle out to Denver in 2008.
After a successful run from 2005-2008, amidst financial, and creative differences Reality Left the Kasbah.
Away from the scene Reality connected with All Access Live a high quality a media production company. Since Real already had built a name for his self nationally and was comfortable hosting events and All Access had Real hosting all types of productions.
“When I quit the poetry scene, I promised myself I would only come back to it if everything was right,” Reality shared. This time he felt like he had all the tools to return to the scene.
“When I met All Access and started to be involved in what they were doing I knew something was calling me back… I just told myself this time I am going to do it on my terms with all the technology behind me.”
An opportunity materialized and Real brought his show back to the Denver audience this time with a whole team of professionals with him who he hopes will help him to experience a Déjà vu of success he has previously reached.
All of Real’s successes have built him many relationships and eyes of the media professionals are on him because of it.
“The poetry scene is a huge tool literary students can use to show their skills and meet great people,” Lee Williams added about the importance of the site for students.
Thewriternetwork.com allows all the writers, poets, and interested people access to a network of people on a very specific level. This should allow writers of all types to maximize opportunities and build relationships that can propel them into their careers.
Real visualizes connecting thewriternetwork.com with the academic community and hopes to find a way to have students integrated to the system as part of certain department’s curriculum soon.
